Today we finished out Illinois, drove through all of Iowa, and a bit of Nebraska. We are almost at
our halfway point of the trip! Today's
drive brought surprisingly hilly farms (I thought the middle of the

country was supposed to be flat?), lots of wind farms, and 75 mph speed limits.
After three days, Wally still does not understand shared living. He is still barking at everyone, wondering what they are doing in his house. Voices in the hallway? Wally is at the door
growling. We're hoping he gets over this by say...Friday, when we move into our 3rd floor apartment in Cupertino. Me thinks there might be other residents there.

Because of his rather poor hotel behavior, we've been hesitant to go out to dinner and leave him in the room the past two nights, for fear we would come home to him tied to our bags on the curb and we'd be sleeping in the Tig for the night. But lucky for us, the "old" downtown Lincoln had a couple puppy friendly patio restaurants. Wally joined us for al fresco dining at Buzzard Billy's where Nate had Nebraskan corn fed beef and I had buffalo! Tastes like chicken! Kidding, tastes just like beef. After dinner we walked around the charming downtown. Not 30 seconds after I said I wanted some ice cream, we stumbled upon Ivanna Cone, an old fashioned ice cream shop. They make their own waffle cones and of course the ice cream. We got the lemon curd custard and malted vanilla. Lip smacking delicious-I was too busy eating to remember to take a picture!

PS: sorry the layout is all wonky, I am still figuring this out, and I'm not sure blogger is working for me...
